Goldenwest Holds Annual Meeting and Announces Board Election Results

OGDEN, UT: April 23, 2015 - Goldenwest Federal Credit Union members, employees and volunteers attended the 79th Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, April 14th at the corporate headquarters in Ogden. The meeting included the presentation of the Annual Report 2014 to the membership.

Reports regarding the state of the credit union were delivered to the membership by Chairman Bill Hart, President/CEO Kerry Wahlen, and Supervisory Committee Chair Ron Gebhardt. In his presentation, President Wahlen announced that a USU Credit Union branch will be incorporated into a new Welcome Center planned for the Utah State University's main campus in the coming year. All presenters reported the credit union had experienced a successful year in 2014, with assets remaining safe and secure.

The report presented by Governance Committee Chairman Stoney Wayment stated that Bill Hart and Jeanette Smyth had been re-elected to serve as Directors of Goldenwest Credit Union, each for a three-year term.

During the course of the Annual Meeting, retiring Board Member Jess Hunsaker was honored for more than 25 years of volunteer service to the credit union.

Following the Annual Meeting, the Board members held a private session during which they elected Bill Hart as Chairman, Steve Carroll as Vice-Chairman, and Stoney Wayment as Secretary for the next 12 months.

Founded in 1936, Goldenwest serves more than 101,000 members and holds $1.073 billion in assets. The credit union is headquartered in Ogden, and operates 26 branches in Cache, Box Elder, Weber, Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Utah, and Washington counties.
