Goldenwest Credit Union Earns A+ Rating
Ogden, UT: August 27, 2015 – Goldenwest Credit Union has been given an A+ overall institution health rating from DepositAccounts.com for the second consecutive year. Goldenwest is one of only 66 credit unions to do so out of the 6,655 total federally insured credit unions.
Since the global financial crisis of 2008, many people are concerned about the financial health and stability of their bank or credit union. In an attempt to educate the public about their financial institution’s health, DepositAccounts.com takes the raw financial information published by the FDIC and NCUA and using their own formulas, determine the ‘health’ of each credit union and bank. Deposit Accounts.com looks at assets, equity, and deposit growth to assess a health rating.
Kerry Wahlen, President/CEO of Goldenwest Credit Union, favorably responded to the A+ rating.
“Once again, we are pleased to be recognized for achieving the highest levels of financial health by DepositAccounts.com,” stated Wahlen. “The A+ rating is a reflection of our strategic business plan, and member commitment to provide a responsive, financially sound credit union for generations to come.”
